Spun bond polymer non-woven fabric and spun-lace fabrics are the primary basic materials for disposable caps. This material is favoured because of its light weight.  Since it has a lower gravity than hydrophobic PP fibres, it offers excellent water repellency and air permeability, resulting in comfort and dryness, as well as antibacterial and antifungal resistance.

The surgical cap protects the surgeon's head from dust particles, which prevent wound infection. The high performance caps keep hair germs and bacteria out of the environment while keeping the wearer cool and breathable.
