In general surgery, it is used to grab and manage the rectus sheath during ileostomy, exploratory laparotomy, ileal resection, and intestinal anastomosis.
The 21-cm-long instrument is made up of flat tips with serrations to guarantee a solid and stable grip. A ratchet lock system secures them to finger rings.
The green-armitage is applied to the uterine angles to hold the uterus and establish hemostasis.
